Downhillers and enduro fans take note: If you're out and about in Lermoos, Biberwier or Berwang, you won't have to look far for the next trail. The varied trails are ideal for all those who enjoy off-road and preferably downhill biking. A hot tip is the Lermoos bikepark on the Grubigstein with its trails Schlägle, Forest Aisle and Bachtl Trail.

Trail Highlights

The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena offers an impressive variety of mountain bike trails that will make every heart beat faster. The Blindsee Trail winds its way from Grubigstein to Blindsee and offers spectacular views as well as technically challenging passages. Schlägle is a natural downhill trail over 2 km, ideal for adventure-seekers who want to test their limits. The Forest Aisle offers over 3 km of breathtaking views, jumps and ramps for adrenaline junkies. The Bachtl Trail with its jumping elements and easy difficulty is perfect for beginners and pleasure riders.

BLINDSEE TRAIL
A true signature trail
The route, which is rated S2 to S3 on the single trail scale, requires solid riding technique and promises an incomparable experience of nature at the same time.
Those who like natural trails will love the Schlägle Trail. The two-kilometre downhill route leads from the middle station down to the valley - with an average gradient of 33 percent.

Diverse downhill trail
The downhill route, spanning over three kilometers, offers breathtaking views and builds anticipation for the Schlägle Trail. The Grubigstein cable car takes you to the summit, where you can race back down through jumps, ramps, and steep wall curves.
The Bachtl Trail starts at the mid-station of the Grubigstein cable car. It offers smooth berms over open areas and through the forest, with easily rollable jump elements for added fun.

What downhillers should keep in mind

Code of conduct at the bike parks

  • People using the downhill trails do so at their own risk. 
  • A helmet, protectors and safety equipment are mandatory along the entire route. 
  • Speed has to be adapted to the rider’s skills as well as the weather and trail conditions. 
  • Riding outside the signposted routes is prohibited – for instance, on hiking trails or in the open terrain. 
  • Safety warnings are to be observed without exception!
  • Riders are obliged to follow the instructions of the cable car staff. 
  • Entering the trails is only recommended with appropriate and well-maintained full-suspension mountain bikes. 
  • The cable car company does not assume any liability in case of accidents, injuries or damages of any kind. 
  • Immediately inform the cable car company about accidents or other noteworthy incidents! 

Abiding by these rules and regulations, you contribute to safe downhill fun on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze.
